Philadelphia declares ‘Kevin Hart Day’ in honour of star comedian
Philadelphia is welcoming Hollywood actor and comedian, Kevin Hart, for a birthday celebration and would unveil a giant mural of him near his childhood home.
The festivities will include an official resolution dubbing July 6 as Kevin Hart Day in the city and the mural will be displayed on Max’s Steaks in North Philadelphia.
Councilman-at-Large, David Oh said, ‘[He] is a fantastic ambassador for the City of Philadelphia, and this is a simple way to show him gratitude.’
Oh added, ‘Whether through his hilarious sense of humor or through his heartfelt generosity towards his hometown, Kevin Hart knows how to bring a smile to everyone in Philadelphia.’
Kevin wrote on Instagram that he was ‘blown away’ by the announcement.
He was recently named by Forbes as the highest-paid comedian with nearly $90 million from June 2015 to June 2016.
