Peter Okoye of the defunct Psquare music group has denied claims that P-Square, the now-defunct music group he shared with Paul Okoye, his twin brother, would be returning after they settled their dispute.

Peter and Paul, who is also called Rudeboy, had started P-Square back in high school but disbanded in 2016 after a disagreement on the role of Jude Okoye, their older brother and immediate past manager.

On Monday, a video surfaced on Twitter where Peter, who is better known as Mr P, is seen admitting they had both decided to set aside their differences and bring the brand back on its feet.

“The past few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions. We’ve resolved our issues. We seek your forgiveness. I will take full responsibility. I will take full responsibility,” he was heard saying in the now-deleted video.

“…for everything that has happened. And I promise you it’s behind us now. We look forward to the future with excitement and renewed energy. Once again, I’m sorry. We’re back. Thank you.”

Mr P, however, jumped on the tweet to dismiss the rumour. He explained that the video was filmed in 2015.

The singer added that his brand as Mr P was permanent while also announcing his solo album.

“Stop wasting your time… that’s an old video 2015… Forever MrP. The Prodigal Album Loading,” he wrote.
