Peter Obi is just like the rest of them—Deyi Adeyanju

Peter Obi may look the better candidate, but he is no different from the average Nigerian politician, Socio Political activist, Deji Adeyanju says as he withdraws support from the politician.

The activist said this while giving his reasons to why he would no longer back the Labor Party presidential candidate.

Adeyanju moved to end his support just three hours after meeting the candidate, stating in clear terms that the politician was very much corrupt like the rest.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Adeyanju claimed that Peter Obi had told him that he invested billions of Anambra State money into his family business and was still trying to justify it.

Though in stating this fact, the activist still believes he is the better candidate of the other two standing oppositions but wants Nigerians to know he is no saint.

Deji Adeyanju believes the politician’s cutting cost theory is what sets him slightly different from the others.

Adeyanju tweeted:

“The real reason I stopped supporting Peter Obi was after I met him for a 3hrs meeting at his instance of course & he told to me he invested billions of Anambra State funds into his family business. And the man was even trying to justify it. So many other things he said. SMH!”

“I agree that Peter Obi is the best candidate among those who have declared, especially with his cutting of cost theory, but he’s no saint. He’s as corrupt as the others. Investing Anambra money into his family business is the height of corruption and abuse of office,” Adeyanju wrote.
