Pep Guardiola goes on an angry rant against the Premier League

If it was easy, everyone would do it — Pep Guardiola challenges Manchester City fan at the Etihad.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola doesn’t like being told what to do, and least of all by a fan of the club.

The former Barcelona boss was caught on camera getting into a heated row with a Manchester City fan who yelled at him from the stand to make changes to his game.

Reacting to the incident, Pep Guardiola ranted to the fan to come to the dugout and do the job himself during Manchester City’s 1-0 win at home to Newcastle United.

The City fan was reported to have gestured at Pep Guardiola during the game to make substitutions, a gesture the Spaniard did not take so well.

Speaking after the match at the Etihad, Guardiola explained the reason for the incident and also revealed why he refused to make a single substitution in a league game for the first time since May 2022.

“He asked me to make the substitutions, one player out and one in, and I asked him which one, I didn’t know it.

“I said ‘come here and do it.’ I saw that the team at that moment was still alive and sometimes to come in, the rhythm is difficult.

“I saw the team were still there and fighting for every ball. The managers, we have that option to make the substitutions but the managers decide or not,” the serial winner defended.
