People no longer go to farm – Aisha Yesufu tackles Edo govt

Aisha Yesufu, a prominent socio-political activist and member of the Labour Party, criticized the Edo State Government for its perceived failure to address the security challenges in the state.

Aisha shared this information on her official X account on Thursday in response to the recent incident involving the female farmer’s death in the state.

The activist reported that women in Etsako West have lost interest in farming out of fear of being raped or killed by assailants.

She criticized the state government for focusing on policies that “can be deciphered by experts”.

The post reads, “Most of the women in Etsako West no longer go to farms for fear of being raped or killed. Abductions on the farms are on the high.

“Men that now go to farms face abduction yet the Edo State Government is busy on policies that can be deciphered by experts.”
