‘People home and abroad can’t wait to see Nigeria rise again’-Kwankwaso

A former Minister of Defence, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has on Tuesday launched The National Movement (TNM), a political movement for ‘the benefit of Nigerians and Africans both at home and in the diaspora.

Speaking during the launch at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, the former governor, Kano State, said that Nigerians have been asking for a way out of their current severe economic and political predicament.

He said: “For too long, Nigerians have been asking for a way out of our current severe economic and political predicament. For too long, friends of Nigeria both at home and abroad have been looking forward to the day Nigeria shall rise again. I am pleased to say, the place is here and the time is today and now.”

According to him, The National Movement is made up of all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

“The National Movement has members and roots in virtually every Local Government Area and Wards in this country.”

He described the core values of the Movement as “Trust, leadership, responsibility, equity, competence, trustworthiness, commitment, transparency, equality, patriotism and justice.”

Kwankwaso was a presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019 when he lost the primary election to Atiku Abubakar.
