PDP Ward Chairman assassinated in Delta State

Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in ward 4 (Olomu Ward 1) Mr. Paul Onomuakpokpo, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been assassinated by gunmen.

TOPNAIJA.NG gathered that the gunmen fired into the air repeatedly until their victim (Paul Onomuakpokpo) whom they already riddled with bullets was certified dead before they left.

Sources said, ”The incident occurred Wednesday night along the Ogoni Road near the palace of Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom.

”The unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins ambushed the deceased about 7pm and rained bullets on him.

”The victim (PDP chairman) died on the spot.

”The gunmen fired into the air repeatedly until they ensured that he was dead.

The killers riddled the deceased’s Toyota Camry he was driving at the time with bullets.

When contacted for comments, the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, Asaba, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyey, confirmed the incident.

She said, ”Yes, it’s confirmed, it is true, but I am still in a meeting.”
