PDP returning Officer shot after Osun decides
Osun State PDP returning Officer ambushed and shot immediately after the election.

And now, the typical occurs as reports state that a returning officer of the Peoples Democratic Party of a certain part of Ikire in Irewole Local Council in Osun State, identified as Honorable Jide Joba was ambushed and shot by gunmen.
It was revealed that the returning officer had to be promptly rushed to a hospital to ensure his survival.
Joba was said to be leaving the collation centre in Ikire the evening he was shot, with a PDP agent, Honorable Bamidele Salam making this known during the results announcement at the INEC headquarters in the state capital, Osogbo.
The PDP agent alleged there being disruption of elections in some areas of the State particularly in Irewole where he accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of concealing the incident while collating votes for the council.
“As I speak, the PDP Returning Officer in Ikire, Irewole Local Council has been hospitalized after some hoodlums shot him There was an incident at the venue of collation of results in the local council after which Joba was shot.” He said.
“I had expected INEC to mention such incident and others but I haven’t heard it,” Salam informed the gathering.”
