PDP, Kaduna knocks governor Uba over lopsided appointments
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna Chapter, has voiced displeasure with the bias of appointments made by Sen. Uba Sani’s government in the state since its beginning on May 29, 2023.
TopNaija understands that the Kaduna State Governor has recently made fresh appointments to his cabinet.
Abraham Alberah Catoh, in a statement released by its State Publicity Secretary on Wednesday, cried out on the recent publication of the list of fourteen commissioners-designate, in which certain sections are either shortchanged or completely not represented smacks of mischief as well as confirms the unfortunate claims of the immediate past governor of the state, Mal. Nasir Elrufa’i, of a grand plan to shortchange and or exclude a certain section of the people from the governance structure of the state.
What was even more concerning, according to Albera, was the fact that the local governments of the candidates were cloaked in secrecy in an desperate attempt to disguise the blatant inequality in the selections.
” As a people’s party and one that not only believes in the principle of equity, justice, and fairness as a prerequisite for unity, peace, and development but has also demonstrated the same in its 16 years of leadership in the state, we condemned in totality such divisive antics reminiscent of the evil Elrufa’i era and call on the government to withdraw the list and make amends and also to forthwith ensure balance in all appointments and projects across the state in line with our federal character as enshrined in the 1999 constitution (as amended).
” The PDP also wishes to call on the good people of the state to remain calm, hopeful, and steadfast in prayers as the party and its governorship candidate pursue their mandate at the tribunal.
“The party also wishes to reassure the people of the state of its total commitment to restoring an all-inclusive government and governance once the mandate that was freely given to it in the March 18, 2023 governorship polls is restored by the courts.
