PayConnect selected to represent Nigeria at the 2016 Slush Global Impact Accelerator

Nigerian Startup PayConnect has been selected to represent Nigeria at the 2016 slush global impact accelerator (GIA) Program holding from November 22 to December 2, 2016, in Helsinki, Finland.

Slush Global Impact Accelerator is a program created in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and multiple partners globally. The program aims to support startups that are looking to solve some of the most pressing global challenges and includes online pre-event coaching and Helsinki boot camp program.

In August Venture Platform organised the local selection event, where PayConnect, Cash Madam and Mobile Form emerged as finalists. PayConnect eventually was selected by Slush GIA as the best of the three.

PayConnect is an online lending platform that lets salary earners receive loans within 24 hours without collateral. Applicants receive the loans in their salary accounts after approval and are expected to repay the loan within the stipulated time. PayConnect aims to address the obstacles to receiving loans for low to medium salary earners.

Its certainly been a FANTASTIC! last quarter of the year for PayConnect. Just last month, they were accepted into Ventures Platform’s hybrid incubation program and now they are going to Finland. We certainly wish you all the best here at Topnaija.
