Paulo Dybala to Chelsea — Mourinho reacts

AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, has responded to recent speculation surrounding the future of forward Paulo Dybala amid reported interest from Chelsea.
The Argentine has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League side, with manager Mauricio Pochettino eager to bolster his attacking options for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
According to Italian media, Chelsea has expressed their interest in securing Paulo Dybala’s services, taking advantage of a release clause in his contract which allows clubs outside of Serie A to sign him for a mere £10 million. The prospect of joining forces with compatriot Pochettino appears to have piqued Dybala’s interest as well.
When asked about the details of Dybala’s contract and Chelsea’s interest, Mourinho remained tight-lipped but assured reporters that he maintains open lines of communication with all his players, including the Argentine forward.
“I don’t have any specific information about his contract,” Mourinho stated shortly after his arrival at Rome airport on Saturday. “But it’s part of my responsibility to have conversations with Paulo, just as I do with every member of my squad.”
The Portuguese manager’s response neither confirmed nor denied the rumors circulating about Dybala’s potential transfer. Mourinho, who took charge of AS Roma earlier this summer, is keen on assembling a competitive squad for the upcoming Serie A campaign.
Dybala’s presence could be instrumental in bolstering Roma’s attacking prowess, but Mourinho remained focused on his task at hand, refraining from delving into the details of any ongoing transfer negotiations.
While the Argentine forward’s future remains uncertain, it is evident that Dybala’s talent and versatility have caught the attention of top clubs across Europe.
As the transfer window progresses, the football world eagerly awaits further developments surrounding this intriguing saga, with Chelsea and AS Roma at the center of attention.
Only time will tell whether Paulo Dybala takes his journey to Stamford Bridge or if he will continue to don the colors of AS Roma in the forthcoming season.
