In a passionate address during the November 2024 Abuja Holy Ghost service, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, issued a stern warning against what he calls a “hidden alliance” working to sabotage Nigeria’s push for energy independence.
According to Pastor Adeboye, an unholy partnership between domestic oil interests and international corporations is allegedly undermining efforts to boost local production at the newly opened Dangote Petroleum Refinery, aiming to keep the nation tethered to costly fuel imports.

Dangote warns Nigerians about substandard fuel blending
Pastor Adeboye praised Aliko Dangote’s ambition, calling the refinery a divine answer to Nigeria’s energy woes and a symbol of self-sufficiency.
“Are we under a curse?” Adeboye questioned, pointing to the billions spent on government refineries that have yielded no success while Dangote’s private efforts are now under threat.
He urged Nigerians to unite in prayer, emphasizing that this struggle goes beyond economics—it’s about breaking free from a dependence that has long burdened the country.
