Passengers And The Captain Stucked As Aircraft Crashes And Hangs On A Power Line

Passengers and the captain are stuck as the aircraft crashes and hangs on a power line after a collision in Montgomery, Maryland, Alabama

It was reported that two people were trapped inside a plane that was dangling from an electricity pylon after it crashes.

The lightweight aircraft became entangled in the power line during a collision on Sunday, November 27, at 5.30 pm local time near Montgomery, Maryland, Alabama.

Two people were reported to be alive inside the single-engine Mooney Mike 20P aircraft that slammed with a high-tension power line tower in the Maryland region, knocking off electricity to tens of thousands.

Crews will not be able to rescue the two passengers of the wrecked plane until they have secured the plane to the tower, with grounding and bonding of the electrical wires required before extraction.

A total of 146 outages were recorded in the region, with Potomac Electric Power Company reporting that 88,000 customers were affected.

According to Montgomery County Career Fire Fighters, the incident and resulting power outage impacted as many as “120,000 consumers” at one time.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Supply spokesperson Pete Piringer, the incident triggered power outages that impaired traffic signals and energy service.

Both the passenger and the pilot have been verified to be alive and are still waiting for rescue as of this morning, according to wbal.

The jet was “entangled” in the power wires, according to an earlier statement from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Vice President Evan Glass.

His statement read: “A pilot struck power lines near Montgomery Village, causing widespread power outages across Montgomery County. Thank God the pilot and passenger(s) are alive in the plane, which is entangled in the power lines.”
