Oyo Governor nominates 4 former lawmakers, 10 others as commissioners

The governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde has sent a list of 14 nominees for commissioners to the state assembly for screening on Thursday. Four former lawmakers in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Kehinde Ayoola, Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Ojemuyiwa Ojekunle and Adeniyi Farinto were among the names on the list.

The list sent to the Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, by  Makinde was read on the floor of the assembly on Thursday 25th July.

Orisadeyi, from Ibarapa land, is the only female nominee. Others named on the list are a former caretaker chairman, Ibadan Northwest Local Government Area, Mr. Wasiu Olatubosun; Prof. Oyewo Oyelowo, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, Mr. Akinola Ojo, Adeniyi Adebisi, Lasunkanmi Ojeleye; Seun Asamu; Rahmon Abdulraheem, Chief Bayo Lawal and Dr. Bashir Bello.

The Speaker directed all the nominees sent in by the Oyo state Governor to submit 14 copies of their CV on or before August 2 for screening.

He said screening date would be announced later.
