Oxlade-Chamberlain may be a wanted man outside Liverpool but Klopp would keep him

Former Arsenal gunman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may be an outcast at Liverpool after so many ups and downs at the club, but Jurgen Klopp isn’t willing to loose him if it would weaken his team.

This comes after the club failed in their pursuit of Real Madrid’s new signing, Aurelien Tchouameni, and reports that the club may consider directly selling Chamberlain to bitter rivals, Manchester United.

It is being revealed that Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp would rather block any move to have the English midfielder leave the club this summer than risk his midfield options.

AS Monaco are in talks over a £17m deal for Reds teammate Takumi Minamino who is already a midfield option.

Minamino’s agent has been in Europe to broker the 27-year-old’s departure from Anfield, with Monaco believed to be his chosen destination.

With Minamino leaving it is unlikely that Klopp will allow Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave, now that it is being reported that Calvin Ramsay will be Liverpool’s final signing.

The plan is for the club to strengthen their midfield next summer when Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner will all be out of contract.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made just 17 appearances last season, but Klopp was impressed with his influence and attitude when Naby Keita departed to the AFCON.

The message has already been relayed to the midfielder that he will be a required player for next season.
