Akande, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Vice-President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, warned Nigerians to disregard viral website claiming a N33, 000 Support Grant from the VP’s Campaign Organisation is ongoing.

The Vice-Presidential aide added that the link and accompanying narrative represent disinformation designed to mislead and swindle the general public. He therefore urged everyone to disregard the website.

“If you have come across this notice below, please be advised it’s a scam. It is trending on some platforms including WhatsApp. Please ignore this & always rely only on official sources for any information regarding the Vice President or any FG related activities for that matter,” Akande wrote on his verified Twitter handle recently.

Osinbajo is a member of the All Progressives Congress, he previously served as Attorney General of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and holds the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In April 2022, he announced his intention to run for the APC nomination for President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election.
