Osimhen to Saudi still complicated

The current transfer window in many ways is all nuts and complicated, and there is none more complicated than the Victor Osimhen move to the Saudi Pro League to link up with Al-Ahli.

Earlier today, it was reported that a deal has already been agreed between Victor Osimhen’s camp and the Saudi Pro League club, however, a recent report by Fabrizio Romano has stated that the deal is still far from done. According to Romano, Chelsea are still lurking behind the shadows to steal the Nigerian away from Al-Ahli.

Via a Facebook post, the Italian journalist analyzed the situation, revealing a couple of moves are being made behind closed doors with Al-Ahli plotting for an alternative in case the Osimhen move falls through. England international, Ivan Toney has been identified as the alternative option by the Saudi club.

Currently, Ivan Toney is yet to play for Brentford since the start of the new premier league season, in view of a move away from the London side.

Romano asserts in his social media handle that the move to Saudi Arabia is dependent on Victor Osimhen, insisting the Nigerian has not given his approval. This is in contrast to the earlier reports of a deal being agreed between both camps.

Romano wrote:

“Understand Al Ahli will ONLY sign ONE between Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney. This is the current plan. Chelsea are still working in the background for Victor Osimhen in case he doesn’t give final green light to Al Ahli.”

Whatever outcome results from the move, Victor Osimhen has few hours left to decide whether he wants to move to Chelsea or hang on with the Saudi Arabia move as earlier reported.
