Organ Harvesting Saga: Nollywood actress blasts Ekweremadu
The human trafficking/organ harvesting saga has been on the news particularly with the involvement of former Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu.
It has led about to many public opinions being formed on the topic, with many sending backlash to the politician while others, stand in defense.
For Nigerian actress, Victoria Inyama, she definitely isn’t a fan of the politician or the act, and she didn’t fail to show it with her social media post.
The actress quickly reacted to the arrest of former Deputy Senate President and his wife, Beatrice by the Metropolitan Police in London right when it was confirmed on the news.
She took on to her Instagram platform the very Thursday news broke out to criticize the elite’s mind frame that money could provide cover for their illicit acts.
The actress also stressed on how Nigerians had no idea what its politicians go over to oversees to do while they stay home to defend them.
“It’s all over the news…On a tip-off, the Met police, as usual, calmed down and have been investigating….they probably thought money can cover them as usual in Nigeria…..Nigerians don’t even know half of what your rich adored folks get up to.” she wrote.
The politician and his wife are in police custody for alleged conspiracy to harvest the organs of a child who according to reports was provided falsified documents.
Ekweremadu, 60, and Beatrice, 55, have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 23.
According to reports, the investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022.
The child is reportedly in protective custody according to reports by Sky News.
