Dejan Lovren blasts transfer sites linking Salah with a Liverpool exit

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has in his press conference confirmed Mohamed Salah’s stance and status at the club this summer amidst rumors regarding the Egyptian’s exit from the team.

The former Dortmund boss in his Friday pre-match press conference previewing the game against Newcastle United, made it clear that Salah was staying put at the club.

Jurgen Klopp insists that the Egypt international is not for sale, reinforcing the club’s statement about the reports.

The rumors had gone wild yesterday about Al Ittihad agreeing with the player’s representatives for a move to the Saudi Pro League, with reports alleging the club were ready to spend £100m on the 31-year-old.

Added to that, the online rumor mill insisted that Al-Ittihad are ready to make Salah the best-paid player in the world, surpassing that of Cristiano Ronaldo in the league.

Debunking the rumors, Jurgen Klopp insists no offer has been made to Liverpool on Mohamed Salah.

“It is difficult to talk about media stories because there is nothing to talk about from our point of view. He is essential for us. There is nothing there. If there would be something the answer would be no,” the manager told reporters.

On Salah’s commitment to the club, Jurgen Klopp insists it is at  “One hundred per cent.”
