On this day last year, God saved my life – Singer Victony recounts ordeal

Nigerian Singer and songwriter, Anthony Victor popularly known as Victony has recounted the day God saved his life from a fatal accident.

The singer, Victony took to his Instagram page to mark the 1st anniversary of how he was saved from a car accident that almost ended his promising career and life.

TopNaija recalls that on the 26th of April, 2021, the songwriter was on a ride home with his friends from a birthday party, unfortunately, the car suffered a fatal accident that left him severely injured and sadly led to the death of his dear friend, Doyin.

After the accident, Victony was hospitalized and had to go through surgery, and was wheelchair-ridden for many months.

As many thought that would end his career, he proved them wrong as he came back from the accident a stronger, better, and more popular version of himself.

Victony took to his Instagram page today, April 26 to remember his late friend, Doyin as he announced his latest single.

He wrote;

1 year already. From dark times to Exciting times, y’all saw me through those phases.
“Kolomental” out now. ✝️
