Nigerian prison officers suspended over Bobrisky bribery claims

Pastor Isaac Omokri, the brother of former presidential aide Reno Omokri, is set to appear in court today to face charges of allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in 2023.

The alleged incident took place last year, when the minor was still 15 years old. According to the victim’s father, Isaac Omokri, who is a pastor with The Nuture Centre (Church), threatened to kill the minor and her entire family if she disclosed the rape to anyone.

The father, who has been vocal about his daughter’s ordeal on social media, accused the police, court, and judges of being compromised in the case. He claimed that the police have been intimidated by the pastor’s influential family connections and have failed to take appropriate action.

In a video posted on his social media page, the father stated that he has taken the case to court, but despite this, nothing has been done to bring justice to his daughter. He also alleged that the case was initially moved from one court to another without his knowledge or consent.

“I still hope for the judiciary to do justice,” the father wrote. “Tomorrow, June 25, 2024, the alleged rape case of my daughter by her pastor, Isaac Omokri, brother to Reno Omokri, will be coming up.”

Isaac Omokri’s brother, Reno Omokri, is a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan. The alleged rape incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for justice for the victim.

The family is now waiting anxiously for today’s court hearing, hoping that justice will finally be served.
