It’s a new age as social media now plays a major role in defining our lives as individuals. For some, it is a movement, a platform to express themselves, while for others it means much more and young rapper, Picazo is playing the game right.

When Chinko Ekun recorded the song ‘Able God’ featuring Lil Kesh and Zlatan, little did he know that outside creating a street anthem, he was also about to help discover a star in the making.

Making the beat available online for rappers to drop verses to led to a barrage of freestyles and covers, but of the multitude, that of the young rapper Picazo caught the attention of many.

His short video with his friends hyping him as he delivered an effortless, energetic, punchy and confident verse got social media talking with everyone asking the ultimate question, ”Who is he?”

And like anything viral, the word of mouth began to spread from a few to plenty, attracting interest from some music bigwigs and label executives who were in awe of his talent.

His popularity had grown strongly in a very short while, his followers tripled within days and barely a week since the video went viral, the rapper has now pitched a tent with indigenous rapper Olamide’s YBNL label.

Cursorily, this looks like a perfect fit as Picazo reminds you of the younger version of Olamide who burst onto the scene with ‘Eni Duro’.

Olamide took to his Instagram page to announce the deal with an image of the artist with the caption ”signed”.

While the young gifted rapper also posted an image that had the words, ”Industry ti gbalejo” (The industry welcomes a visitor).
