Olamide, D’banj, Timi Dakolo and Yemi Alade to perform at African Military Games Opening Ceremony
The quartet of Nigerian singers Olamide, Timi Dakolo, Yemi Alade, and D’banj were handpicked to appear at today’s opening ceremony of the 2024 African Military Games in Abuja.
On X, the Nigerian Army wrote, “The stage is set and the legends are coming for the opening ceremony of #AMGA2024.
“Watch @Olamide, @iamdbanj, @yemialadee and @timidakolo light up the opening ceremony like never before. It’s happening tomorrow, 20th November 2024.”

TopNaija gathered that 25 countries are participating in the 2nd African Military Games, AMGA 2024.
The Moshood Abiola Stadium will play host to nineteen different athletic events, with the exception of obstacle courses and shooting.
The OSMA and CISM are the coordinating bodies for the 2024 Africa Military Games.
D’banj was the featured performer during the 2013 AFCON closing ceremony in South Africa, when the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, triumphed.
Yemi Alade performed in the opening ceremony of the most recent AFCON in Ivory Coast and sang the theme song.
