Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, is a Nigerian musician from Lagos State.

EARLY LIFE
Okafor Uchenna Victor was born on the 8th of September in Abule Egba Lagos state, Nigeria. He was to parents from Okija, Anambra State.

EDUCATION
Okafor Uchenna Victor completed his elementary school education in Abule-Egba, Lagos Nigeria, before deciding to go into musical career.

CAREER
Okafor Uchenna Victor ventured into music in 2002 where he started as a music producer. He was a part of a band in his high school days and they called themselves ,’’Plantashun boyz cover’’. He hence names Tuface who was one of the members of the original “Plantashun boys” as one of his earliest music influence.

He recorded his first song “Kakaraka” in 2006 as produced by Terry Gand video shot by Akin Alabi and also signed to Sony music entertainment record label, a home to the likes of Tekno, Wizkid, Davido.He has worked with the likes of Slim case, CDQ, Mr Eazi, DBanj, Falz, Klever Jay, Seriki, Konga, DJ Lambo and the late Da Grin.

In 2018 , he released a very popular hit ‘’Legbegbe’’ which shot him right into the spot light. Mr Real kept pushing his music career despite the daunting challenges until he got the inspiration for his hit song “Legbegbe” which means side by side in Yoruba, while eating semovita and Egusi soup at a local restaurant. The song became a major hit catapulting him into the spotlight as one of the pioneers of the new “Shaku Shaku” dance.

Today he has become highly sought after and has already done collaborations with his other celebrities musician.

Mr Real is a versatile singer who majors on Afropop and hip hop and his style of music was influenced by the South African music group, Uhuru. He adopted the name “Real Self” before changing to “Mr Real”.

ACHIEVEMENT
Mr Real has got a nomination for the Best Street-Hop Artiste at the 2018 Headies Awards alongside Olamide, CDQ and Small Doctor.
