Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing moment when the front part of the oil tanker detached from the rear compartment, triggering a massive explosion that engulfed nearby buildings.
The blaze swiftly consumed all structures within its reach, trapping several residents who were unable to escape the inferno and resulting in fatal burns.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, upon learning of the tragedy, promptly visited the scene to offer condolences and support to the grieving community.
