‘Remember your conversation with Ojukwu,’ South East group that promotes Igbo unity reminds Buhari on the outcome of a meeting the President had with former Biafran Head of State, Late Odumegwu Ojukwu while both men were vying for Nigerian Presidency.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has cautioned the President to in the spirit of that meeting to consider the southeast presidency so as to avert any possible fallout within the All Progressives Congress, and Nigeria at large.

The statement was given by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, as a representative of the group.
Isiguzoro revealed that choosing a candidate who might not be a solution to the threats facing the unity of the country may prove detrimental to all within Nigeria and should be discarded.

In the statement which he signed, the Ohaneze statesman said the group made this call after a series of meetings that were held with relevant stakeholders in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Sunday evening.
It reads:

“In search of unity of the country, APC should consider Southeast, we cannot afford to play into the hands of Biafra agitators, President Buhari should remember the conversation he had with the Igbo legend, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu and consider southeast Presidency.

“We are looking forward to the President standing firm and saving the unity of the country is of paramount importance, we are optimistic that considering the Southeast will save Nigeria from chaos as there are ongoing silent wars in the Southeast
