NURTW leader, Ariku killed as cultists clash in Lagos (Video)

A leader National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW at Mile 12, Lagos, Suleman Lawal, AKA Ariku has been allegedly murdered by cultists.

The NURTW leader, Ariku was killed on Sunday, August 28, after chaos broke out in Mile 12 area of Lagos State.

A Nigeria publication, The Nation reported that the violence was a result of a deadly rivalry between cult groups; Aiye and Eiye.

Confirming the incident, Benjamin Hundeyi, the Police Spokesman said;

The command is aware of the violent clash going on at Owode-Elede area of the state. DPO Owode-Onirin is handling the situation. Reinforcement has been readied. We are monitoring the situation.”
