NSCDC Warns Hoodlums Set To Obstruct Peace In Katsina State
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Katsina state has issued a warning to hoodlums and other troublemakers to stay away from the state to ensure peaceful governorship and house of assembly elections.
The warning was issued by the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Jamilu Abdu-Indabawa, and the command has deployed over 2,000 operatives in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies to maintain law and order during the elections.
The command has also established a fully coordinated emergency call centre with sister agencies to respond to any security breach during the election.
The NSCDC advised stakeholders to conduct themselves within the existing laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and urged all eligible voters to come out and vote peacefully and follow INEC’s electoral guidelines to ensure free, fair, and credible elections.
