NSCDC vehicle crashes in Abuja while carrying election materials to Lagos
A Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC vehicle had a fatal accident in Abuja while carrying election materials en route to Lagos.
The security o=agency, NSCDC was said to have crashed on Friday evening, the election eve at the Giri Roundabout bridge in Abuja.
The vehicle was also carrying operatives of the NSCDC to Lagos.
In a video making rounds on social media, Nigerians could be seen assisting to pick up papers suspected to be electoral materials littered on the ground.
As could be heard in the video, some of the passengers were injured of which one of them, unfortunately, sustained a head injury.
It was confirmed that some senior officials of the NSCDC were moved to a different location.
A man in the video said, “When the accident happened the people at the back hit the wood and one person in front had a cut on the head. I don’t know if he will be able to survive.
“We then called for help. But some of the senior officers were moved to Gwarindada.”
As at the time of filling this report it was unclear whether there were any casualties or not.
