The notorious internet fraudster, and close associate of Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, stunned Nigerians today, August 9, 2024, by confirming his freedom after years of legal battles and a high-profile arrest in Dubai.

Woodberry, who was apprehended alongside Hushpuppi in June 2020, pleaded guilty to internet fraud in April 2023, agreeing to forfeit his lavish Dubai assets and pay a staggering $8 million in restitution to his victims. Speculation about his release grew in July 2023 after the FBI allowed him to sell 152 bitcoins, worth N3.6 billion, to settle part of his restitution.
