Boko Haram Surrenders to Nigeria forces

A notorious member of Boko Haram, known as Alhaji Wosai, has surrendered to Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, Wosai surrendered on Saturday after escaping from an insurgent enclave in Garno village, Borno state.

Reportedly, Wosai, a Boko Haram member surrendered with an AK-47 rifle and a magazine filled with 7.63MM 39 MM Special ammunition and he is currently in military custody for profiling.

This Boko Haram member surrender follows a similar event in April when another Boko Haram fighter, Sajeh Yaga, surrendered to Operation Hadin Kai troops in Borno state.

Yaga, who escaped from the terrorists’ camp in Sambisa forest, handed over weapons including an AK47 rifle, four AK47 magazines, six 7.62 MM special ammunition, and three mobile phones to the troops.
