"Nollywood thought I kidnapped myself" -- Prince Eke

Actor Prince Eke has reflected on a harrowing incident, recalling the disbelief and accusations he faced from those close to him regarding his reported abduction, alleging that some accused him of fabricating the kidnapping to solicit funds from Nigerians.

Taking to his Instagram page on December 5, Prince Eke commemorated the eighth anniversary of his abduction along the Ubima road in Rivers State. Recounting the traumatic experience, he revealed the anguish he endured during the ordeal.

“Today marks exactly 8 years since I was kidnapped in Nigeria along Ubima road in Rivers State. I experienced hell on earth,” Eke shared on his Instagram post.

However, alongside the trauma of the abduction, Eke divulged the distressing aftermath, expressing his dismay at the lack of support and the skepticism he faced from friends and colleagues.

“But the greatest experience was that most of my colleagues and friends alleged that I kidnapped myself to raise money,” he disclosed.

The Nollywood actor went on to advise fans to concentrate more on living, asserting that when death comes, they will be shocked about what ‘friends’ say behind their backs.

“Pray for life , because if you eventually die . People that you thought were close to you will say so many unprintable things about you. Thank God for the gift of life and grace !”
