No more mindless religion for me – Gospel Singer, Lara George spills
Popular Gospel singer, Lara George weighs in on Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu’s saga as claimed she is no longer interested in Religion.
TopNaija recalls that the death of Osinachi was allegedly caused by Domestic Violence in her marriage.
As the alleged ‘murder’ of Osinachi begins to spread across the gospel music industry, many have questioned the activeness of the Christian Church when it comes to marital crises.
Weighing in on the matter, the Ijoba Orin crooner claimed she is done with religion, but she will still believe in God.
Taking to her Instagram page, she cited “ABUSE” as the reason for her decision as she stated that it also happens in the church and when one can sense Abuse, the person should walk away.
In her words;
The letter kills. The Spirit gives life.
No more mindless religion for me. Don’t get me wrong. I still believe in God. I just don’t do religion anymore.
This is one of the reasons why.
Abuse does not only happen sometimes in marriages.
It could also happen at work, in church or in any setting really.
I will say it again…It happens in church too.
When you smell abuse err on the side of caution and walk away!
