NIS Agents apprehend Cameroonian with five Nigerian passports, others

The Comptroller-General of Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, has been notified of a migrant arrested at the Yala border patrol base of the commission in Cross River State.

Mr. Okey Ezugwu, the Comptroller of Cross River State Command who reported the arrest noted that the 42-year-old was apprehended by patrol officers attached to the Nigeria Immigration Service border patrol in the state.

The Cameroonian, Kouaha Dieudonne was arrested at the border while trying to enter into the country, Naija News understands.

Ezugwu in his report revealed that the immigrant was found with two passports, one of Cameroonian and the other Guinea-Bissau, all bearing his name while there were still other five Nigerian passports belonging to other persons.

On his part, while responding to the arrest on Monday, the NIS spokesman, DCI Sunday James, CG Babanded has issued an order of thorough investigation and report on the arrest.

James, in his remark, applauded the CG of Cross River Command and as well officers at the Yala border for “a job well done and display of professionalism.”

“The arrested migrant will be prosecuted after necessary charges are established for his prosecution in line with immigration laws,” James noted.

In another news earlier, Naija News reported that Shamim, a lady from Embakasi, a division of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya is on the verge of ending her 10-years-old marriage after discovering that her husband is a garbage collector.
