Nike welcomes Liverpool to the Super Eagles camp with new kit
Liverpool fans may have a lot of reservations over how its summer transfer is going, but Nike swoops in with to make headlines today with the club’s new away kit reveal.
The away kit released ahead of the 2023-24 season takes inspiration from the 90s model made by its fiercest rival, Adidas for the Merseyside team in the 90s season, which ironically takes on the color patterns of the Nigerian national team; the Super Eagles.
Call it retro or homage, Nike sure has left the Liverpool fanbase divided with mixed reactions regarding the kit unveil.
The away kit launch features incoming club Vice Captain, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Cody Gakpo, Trent Alexander Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Stefan Bajcetic and Darwin Nunez all modelling the kit ahead of the upcoming pre-season games set to take place after the Euro Under 21 games reaches its end.
In related news, the Reds are being linked with RB Leipzig midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai who is yet another name on the club’s watchlist for a summer move to Anfield.
