Nigerians react to suspension of Tax, Import Duties on food commodities

Nigerians have taken to X formerly called Twitter reacting to president Tinubu-led government’s suspension of duties, tariffs, and taxes on specific food items imported through land and sea borders, Topnaija.ng reports.

This online news platform understands that the 150-day duty-free is part of the Presidential Accelerated Stabilization and Advancement Plan, an initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at achieving food security and economic stability in Nigeria.

While some X users applauded the federal government’s move, others criticized the decision.
