Nigerian lady shares rare photos of her blue-eyed daughter

Many were in awe as a Nigerian lady shared a photo of her daughter, who has blue eyes.

The mother, identified as Rejoice Uchechi, took to social media to share photos of her daughter, Chioma, who has blue eyes.

Having blue eyes could be a medical condition known as  Waardenburg syndrome.

Rejoice, who has two other children with no such condition, posted the photos on Facebook today, August 18, describing her daughter as a blue-eyed princess.

People with Waardenburg syndrome often have very pale blue eyes or different colored eyes, such as one blue eye and the other brown eye. Although most people with Waardenburg syndrome have normal hearing, moderate to profound hearing loss can occur in one or both ears. The hearing loss is present from birth (congenital).

While eye color doesn’t affect how people see something, the color of someone’s eyes can cause them to have different sight abilities in various lighting conditions.
