Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference takes place in San Jose, California on April 18 and 19, 2017 with some of Africa’s top Facebook developers and partners set to showcase products and solutions to the global market. Nigerian developers are taking part in the experience by joining Facebook for a live stream of the F8 opening keynote at Co-Creation Hub in Lagos.

F8 hosts more than 4,000 people in person and hundreds of thousands of people watching via Facebook Live for two days of new products, tools, interactive demos and speakers to help developers build, grow and monetize their apps. You can register here to watch the keynotes streamed live and videos of the sessions.

“We are looking forward to hosting our developers who could not be in California for F8 to join us for the live stream viewing. We will show what the future holds for developers and businesses alike as we explore new tools, features, and possibilities,” said Emeka Afigbo, Facebook’s Head of Platform Partnerships for the Middle East and Africa. “More importantly, we will have the opportunity to listen to their feedback, in line with our commitment to helping partners across the continent to build products and businesses that meet the needs of their communities and customers.”

The conference is also expected to feature some new product announcements during which some African developers will be featured.
