Nigerian celebrities mourn fallen Compatriot, Mohbad
The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning following the tragic passing of 27-year-old singer Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
The talented artist breathed his last on a fateful Tuesday evening, leaving a void that has been keenly felt by his fellow celebrities.
Renowned On Air Personality (OAP) Do2dtun took to social media to share a poignant snapshot of himself and Mohbad, capturing their final moments together.
In his heartfelt post, he wrote, “Mohbad. This was just two days ago,” underscoring the suddenness of the loss.
Singer Iyanya also paid tribute to the departed artist via his social media handle, stating, “RIP Mohbad. Your journey on Earth will never be forgotten. May God receive you in His Holy Hands.”
Popular former Big Brother Naija reality star and media personality, Natacha Akide, affectionately known as Tacha, expressed her disbelief and sorrow, recalling Mohbad’s recent appearance on her show. She shared on her social media platform,
“MohBad, Life is just too short. Mohbad was just on the Big Friday show with me last month. This news is heavy, and I still can’t believe it.”
Another prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene, Olamide, conveyed his grief through a simple yet emotional message, writing, “Damn! Mohbad,” alongside a broken heart emoji.
CKay, a well-known artist in the industry, also took to his official platform to express his condolences, emphasizing the pain of such a loss:
“No one should have to go through this. RIP Mohbad.”
