Nigeria will be tough — Lauren James predicts Super Falcons game

England forward and Chelsea Women’s star, Lauren James previews the round of 16 clash versus the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The England women’s team came top of Group D over the likes of Denmark and China, and would be set to face the runners up of Group B, Nigeria in what will be a tense fixture.

Lauren James was instrumental in England’s 6-1 triumph versus China women in the third fixture of the group stages, providing 2 goals and an assist as the Lionesses ran rout in the clash.

Ahead of the Round of 16 FIFA Women’s World Cup clash, the England international, Lauren James predicts the game versus the Super Falcons to be a dicey one that will be a ‘very tough’ clash when both teams clash.

Lauren James said this in her post-match interview in reaction to the 6-1 affair against China PR.

Sarina Wiegman’s side will now face Nigeria on 7 August in Brisbane with Lauren James prepared for what will be a difficult challenge.

The Chelsea star told ITV in quote;

“Nigeria is going to be very tough, to be fair every team has been tough, even watching the other games.

“Teams are catching up with each other and I know that will be another very difficult game.”
