Nigeria Decides: Igbos Threatened At Polling Unit In Lagos

A video showing a political thug threatening Igbos at a polling unit has gone viral on social media platforms in Nigeria.

In the video, the thug can be heard saying, “I repeat am again. Any Igbo wey them born very well make e come vote.” The threatening statement was made in the presence of a police officer who appeared to take no action.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of voters, particularly those from the Igbo ethnic group, in the ongoing general elections in Nigeria. Many people have taken to social media to express their outrage over the threat, calling on the authorities to take swift action to ensure the safety of all voters.

The threat against Igbos is not the only instance of violence and intimidation that has marred the elections in Nigeria. There have been several reports of violence, including attacks on polling units and the harassment of voters by political thugs.

These incidents have raised questions about the ability of the authorities to ensure the safety and security of voters during the elections. Many Nigerians are calling for increased security measures to be put in place to prevent further incidents of violence and intimidation and to ensure the integrity of the democratic process.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has also been criticized for its handling of the elections, with some accusing the commission of being complicit in the incidents of violence and intimidation.

The commission has, however, denied the allegations and reiterated its commitment to ensuring a free, fair and credible election.

Talk about a Nigerian election going down without violence, and you most definitely will find yourself searching for a needle in a hay stack.
