Nigeria Can Win The Next World Cup—Mutiu Adepoju

Nigeria’s Super Eagles team was very much missed from the Qatar edition of the world cup tournament after losing to Ghana in the final qualifier game in a 1-1 draw at home in Nigeria, but according to former international, Mutiu Adepoju the Super Eagles can win the next edition.

The former Nigerian international Mutiu Adepoju thinks the Super Eagles may win the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

The West Africans were unable to qualify for the just-finished Qatar-hosted 2022 World Cup.

The Black Stars of Ghana, the Super Eagles’ enduring opponents, defeated them in the playoffs.

The preceding three World Cups were attended by the three-time African champions.

Mutiu Adepoju posted on social media to congratulate Argentina on becoming world champions and expressed confidence that the Super Eagles would be a serious contender in four years.

“Congratulations to Argentina on their #FIFAWorldCup triumph. Looking forward to the next edition where I hope to see my darling Super Eagles compete for the title. Yes we can!,” he wrote on Twitter.

The World Cup will be co-hosted in 2026 by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
