News Anchor loses it with a Tinubu supporter on Live TV
The storm that is the Chicago Certificate scandal continues to create more narratives on Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu.
A video circulating on social media has captured the intense exchange between prominent news anchor Rufai Oseni and a supporter of President Bola Tinubu regarding the authenticity of Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University (CSU).
Controversy has swirled around the academic records of President Bola Tinubu from CSU since the university’s registrar, Caleb Westberg, stated that they had not issued the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2023 general election.
Westberg made this revelation while giving an oral deposition regarding the release of Tinubu’s academic records to his political opponent, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday.
The revelation has prompted calls for Tinubu’s resignation, with allegations of him submitting forged academic credentials.
The viral video features Rufai Oseni questioning an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, identified as Oladotun Hassan, who serves as the Chairman of the Eti-Osa Bar forum.
Rufai Oseni sought to understand Hassan’s perspective on the submission of a document to an authority that disclaims issuing it to the country’s electoral body.
Hassan, however, appeared unable to provide a clear response, resulting in a heated argument between the two.
Oseni further accused the APC chieftain of resorting to emotional manipulation, asserting that such tactics would not sway his judgment.
