Netflix surprises Ikorodu Bois with film production gadgets

US media service and streaming giant, Netflix, has pleasantly shocked the Nigerian comedy group, Ikorodu Bois, with a filming starter pack present to enhance the quality of their video productions.

The group made up of three brothers — Babatunde, Muiz and Malik Sanni — broke the news on their social media page on Wednesday.

“Netflix!!! Thank youuuu!! @netflixfilm you guys are amazing, we’ve received the gift, we love it!…,” the group wrote on Instagram.

Kunle Afolayan, a Nigerian actor, who delivered the package to the group, said the present consists of Canon c100, professional film lenses, DJI Ronin-S, iMac Pro, light sets among others.

The movie star said the feat was indicative of the group’s passion to succeed despite the odds.

“I have said this before ‘the only thing that can stop man, is if he does not try’ these talented boys @ikorodu_bois are a perfect reflection of hard work, passion and undaunted creativity…. and they were rewarded big time for their craft by both Netflix @netflix and KAP FIlm and Television Academy @kapfilmandtelevisionaAcademy,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

The talented kids, in turn, appreciated the actor for providing them the needed support and mentorship to improve their crafts.

This further stretches what has been an impressive run for the young boys renowned for recreating popular music videos and Hollywood movie trailers.

It also comes less than two months after they were invited to the premiere of ‘Extraction 2’, an American action-thriller, following their low-budget remake of the film trailer.
