Netflix acquires Kunle Afolayan’s movies

Award-winning director and producer Kunle Afolayan now has six of his movies on Netflix. The producer announced that the  American streaming giant acquired his movies on his Instagram page.

The elated filmmaker made the amazing deal known on his social media page. True to that announcement, viewers around the world can now watch six movies directed by Kunle Afolayan on Netflix, with The Figurine, Phone Swap, October 1, The CEO, The Bridge and Mokalik.

The acquisition represents Netflix’s serious interest in Africa’s movie industry, as the number of Nigerian movies acquired by the streaming body continues to increase.

Netflix had earlier acquired Genieve Nnaji’s The Lion Heart.
