NECO releases 2020 SSCE results | See how to check here

The National Examinations Council has released the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination results, TopNaija reports.

This was disclosed by the Registrar, Professor Godswill Obioma, while speaking at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State.

The registrar said four schools in Adamawa State, two in Kaduna State, two in Kastina State, two in Niger State, one in Taraba State and one in the FCT were derecognised by the Council for engaging in mass cheating.

 

He said the Council also blacklisted 24 supervisors who engaged in aiding and abetting, connivance with non-candidates to write answers on chalkboards and poor supervision.

The National Examination Council (also known as NECO) is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and the General Certificate in Education in June/July and November/December respectively.

How to Check NECO Result

  1. Go to NECO result checking portal at  https://result.neco.gov.ng/.
  2. Pick your exam year. i.e. 2019
  3. Pick your exam type. i.e. SSCE INTERNAL (JUN/JUL)
  4. Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate columns.
  5. Finally, click on check result button to access your NECO result.

If you follow the simple steps outlined above, by now you should be seeing your grades in each subject.

NECO was created by former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar in April 1999.[1] It was the first Federal organization to offer subsidized registration to academic candidates in Nigeria.
