This increase comes despite efforts by authorities to flatten the curve of the pandemic. The country’s total infections sit at 7,389 out of which 2,263 have been discharged with 226 losing their lives.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 12 states and the FCT with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 148 cases.
36 cases were recorded in FCT, 27 in Rivers, 19 in Edo, 13 in Kano, 12 in Ogun. Ebonyi recorded 11 new cases, Nasarawa and Delta both recorded 8 cases. Oyo recorded 7 cases while Plateau recorded 6 and Kaduna recorded 5. Kwara recorded 4 while Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa recorded 3 cases each. Niger recorded 2 cases and Anambra recorded a single case.
