Nollywood actress turned politician, Tonto Dikeh has come out to give her critics and those making mockery of her name, the stern finger via a social media post made for the available public.

The actress who recently became running mate to the ADC governorship candidate, Tonte Ibraye in the Rivers State gubernatorial elections, spoke about how the public was either deliberately or erroneously misrepresenting her name.

Through a social media post made by the star, the actress vividly informed the public about her name, specifically to those making jest of her first name.

It is something she considers quite perplexing as she has to deal with people consistently misspelling her name even when she doesn’t understand the reason.

“My name is not Somto or Toto”—Tonto Dikeh warns

The mother of one has seen that people frequently pronounce or spell her name in a rather awkward way that either seems malignant or a genuine error.

And what better way to set the records straight than through a social media post to tell the world what her name really sounds like or what it was.

According to Tonto Dikeh, some of her admirers and supporters call her “Somto” or “Toto” instead of “Tonto.”, which the politician points.

“It’s Tonto not Tom Tom, not Somto, and not Toto.” She wrote.

With her name being an instrument of a jibe, it wouldn’t be awkward for political rivals to come up with a shade using what the media made available for them.
