2018 has been a great year for hip-hop with numerous rappers around the world dropping impactful musical projects, TOPNAIJA.NG has observed.
There have been releases from Drake, Cardi B, Pusha T, Jay Z, Kanye West, Eminem and most recently, the much anticipated ‘Tha Carter V’ by Lil Wayne.
Following the release of Wayne’s album, the next hip-hop star who is preparing to drop his own album is Philadelphia rapper, Meek Mill. The rapper has been teasing for a while now but after receiving Billboard’s inaugural Power Players Impact Award last night, he chopped it up with Billboard about his upcoming album. Though not revealing a whole lot, the Maybach Music Group rapper did indicate that wait won’t be too long.
“My album coming soon,” he said. “It’s coming real soon, like in a matter of weeks.”

Meek has had an interesting 2018 including recently ending his long-term beef with Young Money rapper and rival, Drake. So it will be interesting to see how much Meek will get out of his chest.
There has also been rumours that the Philly rapper is will feature Cardi B, the bitter rival of her ex Nicki Minaj on the album. British singer Ed Sheeran is rumoured to be in the project.
