Mum Sues Son’s Primary school In UK

Published

on

Izzy Montague, a born-again Christian, is suing her son’s primary school in the UK for requiring her son to participate in an LGBT pride parade.

LGBT is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender.

The school had sent a letter to parents inviting them to attend the parade. Montague  requested her son be excused from attendance but was refused by the headteacher.

Montague and her husband believe that sexual relations should only occur within a marriage between a man and a woman and that pride is considered to be the most serious of the seven deadly sins.

Montague  is also concerned about the type of books being read in her son’s class and mentions one about a same-sex family.

Montague is supported by the Christian Legal Centre and is suing the school on grounds of discrimination, victimization, and breach of duty under the Education Act 1996 and the Human Rights Act 1998.

This case marks the first time a UK court will examine the legality of imposing LGBT ideology on primary schools.
